Prevention Initiative Home Visiting Program
Our mission is to provide quality services to pregnant women, infants, toddlers, and their families, and that the choices support their program model used within this agency (Parents As Teachers) are implemented as it is intended.
Prevention Initiative Program (headed by the City of Chicago/for ages 0-3 years). Our Home Visiting Program is a voluntary program where home visitors work with parents on practical parenting skills as well as family bonding before birth and as children grow. Through partnering with home visitors, parents learn how to improve their family's health and provide better opportunities for their children. Home visiting provides family support and coaching through planned, regular visits with a trained professional based on a family’s needs and schedules. Our program services pregnant women, fathers, children (0-3 years) and their families in Chicago.
The prenatal period and the first years of life are a critical time for brain development that lays the foundation for future success.
